Achieving a fresh, modern update and creating an inviting kitchen, dining and living area as the hub of the home were key design considerations for our client. Adding custom features to functional spaces for aesthetic interest and character were also top of the list, to really make it feel like a new chapter of family living.
An integration of classic and contemporary design, the remodel has truly made this a character home. By opening up the ground floor space, there was an opportunity to add light and an airy flow between kitchen, living and dining zones, whilst achieving clean lines and simplicity. The use of premium natural timbers for the kitchen island, staircase and flooring adds a warmth of palette and a streamlined styling that complements the home’s unique original features. All upper floor bedrooms were rejuvenated, with enhanced storage in the luxe master. Unique raked windows follow the line of the gabled roof and feature throughout. Updated exterior cladding was the final touch, adding a fresh, classic finish.
To achieve the balance of a contemporary update on classic architecture, enhancing both the style and functionality of space in the existing footprint. Making the kitchen, dining, and living space the heart of the home, with a distinctive aesthetic.
