Relaxed and functional family living was a focus for our client, with their need to creatively expand living and entertaining space. It was important for the addition to blend with the classic coastal charm of the existing home, and to reinvent the living dining and kitchen space to have a seamless flow to the revamped outdoors.
A natural flow from the interior to the outdoors has changed the dynamic of the home, making it a true relaxed entertainer. With the addition of flexible space for the family to grow, the second storey is dedicated to bedrooms including a master retreat with ensuite and his and hers walk-in robes, plus a powder room. A combined second living space and office was also created upstairs, while on the ground floor, two rooms were converted into separate home offices to suit the family’s lifestyle. With classic timbers and a breezy white palette, the mood is light and airy. With vaulted ceilings in the living and dining area plus sliding doors opening to an L-shaped covered deck, the indoor/outdoor entertaining space is expansive and connects seamlessly with the pool zone and yard.
To create a modern coastal design with a substantial second floor expansion of the family living space. To maximise relaxed entertaining time outdoors with an effortless flow to the indoors.
